Account Manager/Junior Advisor - Financial Services

As a member of the Financial Services team, the Account Manager / Junior Advisor will support the department’s Advisors with client services, business development, and department organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Financial Services Advisors to service clients, both group retirement plans and individual wealth management clients
  • Assist Financial Services Advisors in scheduling client meetings and preparing appropriate documents & reports for those meetings
  • Schedule & facilitate group employee education meetings at retirement plan client sites
  • Coordinate workflow between Advisors, clients, and carriers/platforms
  • Complete specific follow up tasks that arise from client meetings
  • Maintain central master client list with updated client details (CRM)
  • Maintain client records within RPAG Practice Management portal
  • Attach and document client communications and activities in Epic software system
  • Coordinate activities in GRP (RIA) compliance management system (Orion)
  • Compose client newsletters, presentation content, webinar content, webinar invitations, etc.
  • Be aware of specific 401k plan policies including eligibility, contribution types, vesting, etc.
  • Create various plan participant letters (ex. enrollment info, plan transition letters, termination letters, etc.)
  • Assist 401k plan sponsors with year-end administration to ensure that necessary documents are submitted to recordkeepers, TPAs, and the IRS in a timely fashion
  • Assist with various plan participant requests when support is needed
  • Assist with various wealth management client requests when support is needed
  • Stay informed on current events and economic factors that can affect the financial markets
  • Comply with organizational policies and procedures, including code of conduct and attendance policy
  • Attend client meetings and eventually conduct meetings in the absence of an Advisor
  • QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Series 65 required. Other securities licenses optional
    • Basic financial industry knowledge in stocks, bonds, mutual funds, portfolio creation, life insurance, and retirement planning
    • Basic understanding of Employee Retirement Income Security Act(ERISA) rules and Internal Revenue Service(IRS) 401k plan documents
    • Skills in organizing and coordinating, with the ability to effectively prioritize work tasks
    • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office software, internet, email, and data entry
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Ability to problem solves
    • Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personality types
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
